JAN PORTER - BOARD MEMBER
Mr. Jan Porter was born in Brooklyn, NY and resided in the New York area, graduating from Northeastern University in Boston, MA, with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. As the local saying goes, while Jan is not originally from Texas, he got here as fast as he could. He and his wife of 44 years, Bernice live in the Arlington area, have 2 sons, Dana and Eric, as well as six grandchildren. Jan is Director of Men’s and Stewardship Ministries for his home church, Cornerstone Baptist Church in Arlington Texas, and is active in church service to his community. Jan has also served as Dallas Area Director for Crown Financial Ministries for 5 years, certified Church administrator for Cornerstone for 6 years and spent over 30 years in the real estate development business as Senior Vice President for a national real estate developer. Hobbies include traveling with his lovely wife, golf, hunting and as much time as possible with family and friends.
